The owners here are awesome. They are the type of people that you can befriend within a heartbeat.
This is the first time i’ve ever seen a Curry Truck so it was a MUST TRY for me. I ordered the chicken taco and my BF ordered some type of chicken wrap- total came out to be $8.00 which was cheap considering the amount of chicken they provided. It was hot, fresh and GOOOOOOD! I’m a huge fan and would recommend anyone to try this place out when you’re in the area!

I went to this truck in Bgame Sunday night. Delicious chicken tikka masala burrito. My friend loved her chicken tikka masala plate. They even gave us some free samosas too! Delicious fresh food, a great price ($13 for both of us) and in Burlingame on Saturday and Sundays…Whoo hoo! The owners were very nice and friendly too.

LOVE this truck! And I’m so glad it’s my neighborhood. I ordered the Chicken Masala with Chana, a Veggie Samosa also with Chana over it. They both were excellent! My mouth is watering for it again as I write this review. I can’t wait to try the donuts. Thanks to the cool owner for helping out with the no-carb option. :-)

Continuing the trend of Korean BBQ taco trucks in So Cal and SF, I give big props to Curry Up Now for starting the first (that I’ve heard of) Indian taco truck. I’ve experimented with butter chicken burritos and pizza at home, so it was great to finally get it from someone who actually knows how to cook it. We saw their tweet on Sunday detailing that they’d be parked on a road in Burlingame until 6pm, so we decided to make it our evening’s early dinner.
$17 got us a chicken tikka masala burrito (flour tortilla stuffed with chicken, rice, chutney and jalapenos), chicken kathi roll (parantha wrap with egg, pickled onions, and chutney), tandoori chicken taco (topped with desi salsa) and some chai desi donuts (beignets topped with sugar and chai spice plus pistachios). The burrito and kathi roll was flavorful and had the right amount of heat; the tacos honestly tasted pretty similar to regular mexican chicken tacos; the donuts were sweet and delicious (but then again, anything is when doused in powdered sugar). Portions were on the small side but I suppose that is to be expected coming from a taco truck. We had to round out our dinner with leftover slices of Patxi pizza to be full.
I’d definitely give it another shot; probably would forgo the taco and give the deconstructed samosa a try. Lunch plates seem like a good value at $7. I hope they stick around!

Yum! We had some great food today. Loved the deconstructed Samosa -the combination of the Samosa with chana and toppings was delicious. My son loved his chicken Tikka burrito (better flavors than Mexican he thinks) and the Chicken Tikka lunch plate was great too! Going back tomorrow to try the Indian donuts! Great value too – we were all full for $20.

The tandoori chicken tacos were not bad, but this is not a taco cart — they have much more inventive food to offer. The deconstructed samosa is unorthodox but delicious, with the salsa topping really brightening up the traditional savory meat, fried dough, and heavy spices underneath. Do want more.
Prices are reasonable. For now they’re in Burlingame, but they say they’re applying for a license to sell in the city. I’ll be waiting.

I reviewed this truck before, but I have to write another one for the dish I just tried–the steak torta. All I can say is I couldn’t stop eating it–it was SOOO good. It’s like a hamburger with buns, lettuce, and red onions and these killer pieces of marinated steak. My other favorites are still the Doubles (puffed bread topped with sauced up chickpeas) and the donuts (beignets dusted with powdered sugar, chai spices, and ground pistachios). Super nice owners who are fun and friendly. Definitely worth a try!

09/22/2009 First to ReviewI was privileged to try out some of the menu items for tasting. YUM! The “Doubles” and “Chai Spiced Desi Donuts” were awesome. Chicken Kathi Rolls are always a favorite. Looking forward to and anxiously awaiting the official launch so I can eat more!

Indian Street food on a taco truck.
I got a Chicken Tikka Masala Burrito, 6 bucks.
It’s a Big Awesome thing!
Tendoori Tofu or Chicken Taco, 2 bucks!
Even though I am a big fan of regular Taco truck. But I just can’t stand the smell, the smell like ….. baby vomit, sour fart pinto bean smell.
Urg!
But this Burrito, you don’t deal with the smell.
It smelled like curry.
“our food is inspired from street foods in India and indian foods popular in other parts of the world. We aim to bring the street foods of Chandi Chowk, New Market, Chowpatty and T&T to you on our mobile food truck.Follow us on http://www.twitter.com… for specials and exact location. The food we are serving are foods that we have grown up eating, we hope you like the food as much as we do.”
it says on the paper menu.
Well, I like street food in general but I am not Indian, but, but, you know, any ethnic food if you eat in the country, you have a chance to get sick, right? Right.
I might get so sick eating Indian Street Food in India.
But I don’t care.
I really don’t.
I’ll be happy and honor to get sick and die even eating foods like Indian food!!!!
But I guarantee you don’t get sick here.
I didn’t get sick.
It’s a great Indian Street Food on a Taco Truck on the Street of El Camino, California, United States of America!

if ur in bgame on the weekends, this is a stop you must make. owner is extremely friendly and easy to talk to.. food is amazing and if ur making me choose a specific item off the menu, I would recommend the deconstructed meat samosa (mild) and the doubles.. which comes with 2 hand rolled dough lightly fried with yummy garbanzo beans and salsa on top.. it’s sooo good!!
I would definitely go back again since I still have not tried the infamous donuts that tend to run out quickly..

Discovered this by accident. Im so glad I did! Truly amazing food! And the price!! Everything is 2 dollars!. I had the deconstructed Samosa and the Katthi Roll. High end stuff on a budget. And the donuts…amazing! Plus the super friendly owners are part of the charm. Expect me to be there at least once a week. Congratulations.
