Our Story
Curry Up Now started in 2009 with a single food truck in the San Francisco Bay Area. Akash Kapoor wanted to do one thing: make Indian food approachable without dumbing it down. Tikka masala in a burrito. Samosas deconstructed on a plate. Naan turned into pizza.
One truck became five. Then restaurants. Then a franchise. Today we have 20+ locations across California, Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina.
Our Market Street location is inside Saluhall, the food hall at 945 Market Street, next to IKEA in the Mid-Market corridor. Under a minute from Powell Street BART and a short walk from Union Square. Built for the downtown lunch rush, after-work pickups, and anyone exploring the food hall. The same Indian street food menu that started in San Mateo: tikka masala burritos, bowls, sexy fries, thali platters, kathi rolls, deconstructed samosa, and more.

What Saluhall Says
★★★★★
"We tried 4 different dishes and all were very good. They were reasonably spicy and very flavorful. The portions were larger than we expected, so be prepared. The staff was friendly and helpful, as well."
Chris Verne

"We ordered a Tikka masala bowl and a samosa for a total ~$30 including tax and top. Big portion. They were pretty good. The sauce came with samosa really delicious. Definitely recommend!"

"Love the Tikka Masala burrito, and it’s nice to have a Curry Up Now location downtown. I just wish they had the free chai and biscuits from the Mission location."
