Event Catering in Smyrna With Flavors Worth Talking About

The Short Version

Event catering in Smyrna has to feed a mixed crowd, hold up over a long service and still be the food people mention afterward. Curry Up Now caters from its own kitchen at 2160 Rock Springs Rd, Suite 600 in Smyrna, Tennessee, open daily from 11 AM (until 9:30 PM Friday and Saturday, 8 PM other nights). Indian street food, Indian born and California raised. 100% of the meat is halal, every chicken, lamb and meat dish, and vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are labeled, so one order covers the whole room. Catering runs from 10 to 1,000 guests. Call the catering team at 615-768-9390 or email catering@curryupnow.com; quotes come back within two hours during business hours.

Pick the Format First

Buffet. The Biryani Buffet or a party package in covered trays for seated dinners, fundraisers and community events. Chafing dishes and setup are available for an added fee.

Standing events. Individual Tikka Masala Burritos and boxed bowls let people eat in rotation without a plate in each hand.

Live service. A live food station, cooked on site, for 50 guests or more with two to three days' notice.

A Menu That Covers the Whole Guest List

Start with samosa chaat or kachori chaat, then two halal meat entrées such as chicken tikka masala and lamb rogan josh, a paneer dish for vegetarians, chana masala or aloo gobi for vegan guests, turmeric rice and naan. Gulab jamun to close. Pav bhaji works as a shared vegan dish when the pav is toasted in oil instead of butter; ask for it that way.

Weddings, Eid and Iftar

Mehndi, sangeet, baraat and reception catering, buffet style or with a live food station at the venue. Because the full menu is halal, Eid gatherings and iftars need no special order. Give two to four weeks for a wedding weekend.

Three Ways to Order

  • Individual boxes. One labeled meal per guest, protein and dietary choice picked ahead. From $15 per person for 15 to 50 guests, $200 minimum.
  • Party packages and the Biryani Buffet. A shared spread of entrées, rice, naan, starters and chutneys in covered trays. $300 minimum.
  • A la carte trays. Two or three dishes to add to what you already have. No minimum.

Every order comes with serving spoons, utensils and napkins, and the food arrives hot in covered trays. Chafing dishes, plates, setup, live stations and staffed stations cost extra; ask when you book. Tax and gratuity are not included.

Lead Time and Delivery

Under 50 guests, next-day notice usually works. 50 guests or more and live stations need two to three days. Delivery covers Smyrna, La Vergne, Nolensville, Antioch, Murfreesboro, Brentwood and Nashville. A deposit holds the date, with the balance due before the event.
